Public Information Office

The Public Information Office provides the public information on services, events and council actions in a timely and accurate manner.  Information is shared through a variety of outlets; 

  • Local cable television Verizon Ch. 22 and Comcast Ch. 965
  • The municipal website and APP
  • Social media 
  • Print: Annual Report and Press Releases 
  • Citizens' Leadership Academy 

Goals:

  • Serve as the communications link between the town, its 35,000+ residents, business community and other stakeholders in the region.
  • Increase interest and participation in services, programs and activities.
  • Ensure our audiences have easy access to information.
  • Build community pride.
  • Promote Council and departmental goals, initiatives, programs and services.
  • Keep employees and elected officials well informed to assist them in serving the community.
  • Create the best internal and external communications possible.
  • Enhance our relationship with the news media.
