As the Municipality of Norristown continues its economic, community and neighborhood revitalization activities, Business Development is a vital component in retaining and attracting businesses, thereby leading to job creation.

The purpose of the Business Development Office is to facilitate economic and business development and retention activities within the Municipality of Norristown’s business community. Some of the ways the Business Development Office can help current or prospective business in Norristown:

1. Serve as the single point of contact for prospective and existing businesses, providing informational support and guidance necessary to start a business in Norristown or maintain business operations.

2. Provide prospective and existing businesses with information on financial and tax incentives available to businesses located in the Municipality through programs such as the Norristown Enterprise Zone.

3. Provide financial assistance to small business through the Norristown Micro Loan Program. 

3. Marketing of Norristown business/events to the Philadelphia region and surrounding areas.

4. Assist in the organization of special events, sales days, networking mixers, Open houses, Grand openings, etc.
