  2. Capital Sin "Murder in Montgomery County"

    Presenter Charles J. Kelly will review select murder cases and the trial outcomes that took place between 1877 and 1962. Among the cases: still unsolved murder in West Norriton; murder-kidnapping in Plymouth Township; murder for hire in Upper Merion; murder of a wife by her husband in West Pottsgrove; society murder in Lower Merion; and presentation and review of the 1959 killing of Maryann Mitchell in Whitemarsh which led to the execution of Elmo Smith. The talk will focus on the persons, places and things that make up the means, motives, and verdicts of these cases. Presentation is free and open to the public
