The Recreation Department provides programs for children and adults throughout the year.. 

Soccer Clinics at Ackey’s Field & Indoor Soccer Open Gym at the Rec Center

Each clinic has skills, drills, basic game knowledge, team play, and scrimmages. Clinics and open gym for indoor soccer run during the late winter/spring months, check social media and our website for dates and times!

Youth & Teen Basketball Clinics & Leagues

Norristown Recreation offers both Winter and Outdoor Summer Clinics & Leagues for Teens and Youth. We play at both at the Recreation Center, and outdoors at Simmons Park. We start coaching our athletes from ages 5yr-16yrs old. We are a great feeder program for our Norristown Area School District Schools. Volunteer Coaching and Sponsorship opportunities are welcome!

Norristown Recreation Baseball Association

NRBA is a part of the Cal Ripken Baseball League which is a branch of the Babe Ruth Baseball League. We are introducing Quickball for our younger athletes 4yr-6yrs. Quickball is a high-speed, low-pressure baseball training sport — a hybrid program for all ages that teaches but doesn’t dictate. Mixing physically-active game play with individual accomplishment and style, Quickball is revolutionizing the introduction to baseball for young players, and enhancing baseball players’ skills at all levels. USA Quickball is teaming up with leagues across the globe to provide Quickball as a new program with benefits to players, coaches and parents. Join the Quickball Revolution!
