Biography
Rebecca holds a B.A. in Political Science from Arcadia University, where she also studied in London, Paris, and Nicosia. Rebecca is an At-Large Councilwoman raised in the Norristown's third district and currently living in the fourth district. She is dedicated to public service and firmly believes in serving as a voice for all residents in Norristown.
Employment
As a Digital Media Specialist by day, Rebecca works to actively expand the access and quality of STEM and computer science education, particularly for groups historically excluded from these fields. She also presents at statewide conferences on equitable communication strategies for educators. Rebecca has worked for elected officials in both the United States Congress and the House of Commons in the U.K., bringing global insights and perspective into her hometown government.
Community Service
Rebecca currently serves on the public relations subcommittee of the Delaware County STEM Ecosystem. She is also very involved in: planning student events, activities, and competitions, and helping to plan and volunteer for events such as:
- County-level spelling bees
- The Delaware County Hero Scholarship Bowl
- The Delaware County Veterans Day Essay Contest
- Reading Olympics
