The 2023 budget
The first public look at the 2023 budget was at the Municipal Council Work Session on Oct. 18. The $40.5 million budget is looking at a $1.8 million revenue gap which may be covered through raising taxes, use of ARPA money and/or cutting expenses. Final budget adoption is expected in December.
Budget Meetings
Three public hearings are scheduled to discuss expenses, forecasted revenues, and possible tax rates for the budget. .
Oct. 27 and Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 21 at 12 p.m. All meetings will be at the MCIU (2 W. Lafayette St.)
