Norristown Officials respond to inquiries about 805 Noble Street

NORRISTOWN, PA – Recently inquires have been made on a property in the municipality. Municipal staff is working diligently to resolve all issues related to the property located at 805 Noble Street. The Code Enforcement Department has undertaken multiple enforcement actions related to property maintenance issues on this property and pursued the legal avenues available to obtain compliance. This has, ultimately, led to the property being condemned by the Municipality on September 6, 2017.

Issues with the home first surfaced in September of 2010, including high weeds, property maintenance concerns, unsanitary living conditions, pest control and other numerous Norristown code violations. Code officials have notified the Norristown Police Department and the property has been secured.

The property has been foreclosed and is currently owned by Wells Fargo Bank. According to Municipal Administrator Crandall Jones, “We have taken all steps necessary to ensure proper cleanup of the property is initiated. This includes both local codes enforcement prosecution and proactive property registration to address blighted properties via Norristown’s partnership Community Champions/Pro Champs. Per staff discussions with Wells Fargo, they recognize the urgency of the situation with this property, are assigning a case manager to this issue, and have expedited resolution of the situation.”
